The group started out as an Instrumental Rock 'n Roll and Rhythm and Blues Band in their Redwood days and evolved into a Surf Band during their UCSB days

Formed in 1972, Bon Tempe offers an genre-hopping mix of Hot Funk and Jazz, with the occasional "rocker" thrown in.
